La forêt les accueillit avec une symphonie de sons ; le bruissement des feuilles et le bavardage des créatures des bois composaient une ouverture vers leur nouveau départ. Le ruisseau où ils avaient scellé leur pacte se trouvait désormais derrière eux, ses eaux étant un témoin silencieux de la transformation qui avait eu lieu.
Leur chemin les mena à la Pierre des Saisons, un monolithe de pouvoir ancien situé à la croisée des mondes mortel et mystique. À leur approche, la pierre pulsait à un rythme semblable à celui d’un battement de cœur, ses runes brillant d’une lumière éthérée. Le serment avait été prêté, mais le véritable test de leur détermination restait à venir.

Chacun a reconnu son rôle de nouveaux protecteurs, offrant des alliances et des connaissances anciennes.
Mais la paix était un voile délicat, et sous sa surface remuait une ombre qui dormait depuis des siècles. Les murmures d'un sorcier noir, banni dans les royaumes inférieurs par la magie même qui liait désormais Sir Cedric et Ember à Eldoria, commencèrent à s'infiltrer à travers les fissures de sa prison. Son pouvoir avait diminué, mais sa volonté de revenir et de revendiquer la domination sur Eldoria était plus forte que jamais.
Sir Cédric sentit le changement dans l'air, un léger frisson qui n'appartenait pas à la brise d'automne. Ember le sentit aussi ; ses flammes clignotaient de malaise. L'équilibre qu'ils avaient juré de protéger faisait face à une menace imminente, une obscurité qui cherchait à engloutir les saisons et à jeter Eldoria dans la nuit éternelle.
Ensemble, ils s'aventurèrent vers l'Oracle de l'Arbre Sureau, un être aussi vieux que le temps lui-même, dont les racines plongeaient profondément dans la structure même du royaume. Les yeux de l'Oracle étaient comme des bassins du monde antique, reflétant tout ce qui avait jamais été et tout ce qui pourrait encore se produire.
L'Oracle parlait d'une voix qui bruissait comme les feuilles de mille arbres. " Protecteurs du Royaume d'Automne , une ombre du passé cherche à briser le cycle que vous gardez. Les chaînes du sorcier s'affaiblissent et sa méchanceté se propage comme une peste. Vous devez vous préparer, car son retour est proche, et seule la force combinée du chevalier et le dragon peut retenir les ténèbres qui menacent de tout consumer. »
Avec ces mots énigmatiques, l'Oracle leur a offert un talisman, un phare de lumière qui les guiderait dans leurs heures les plus sombres. Sir Cédric serra le talisman, sentant sa chaleur s'infiltrer dans ses veines, tandis que les écailles d'Ember brillaient d'un nouvel éclat.
Alors qu’ils quittaient le sanctuaire de l’Arbre-Ancien, un sentiment d’urgence les poussa en avant. Ils savaient que leurs prochaines étapes les mèneraient vers un destin aussi incertain que les vents murmurants du changement. Le sort d’ Eldoria était en jeu, et les jours à venir allaient mettre à l’épreuve le courage de ses gardiens.
Sir Cedric et Ember se trouvaient au seuil d'un récit épique, un récit qui déterminerait la survie de la magie qui liait non seulement leur royaume, mais toute l'existence.
