Autumn Tree Line at Busch
Autumn Tree Line at Busch follows a row of glowing orange trees beside a road, with expressive green and violet tones in the sky.

A procession of autumn color
The trunks recede from left to right, creating a gentle rhythm along the roadside. Fallen leaves gather into a warm carpet beneath them, while the gray road curves away at the edge of the frame.
The color treatment is deliberately exuberant: orange foliage meets a sky that shifts through turquoise and violet. Look past that first burst of color and the repeating trunks give the scene a clear structure. The archive associates this view with the Hampton Memorial Lake area; the picture itself focuses on the approach and its trees.
