Blues at Busch Sunset
Blues at Busch Sunset lets cool sky and water lead the scene, with a lone bare tree quietly anchoring the right-hand shore.
Bill and Linda Tiepelman ·

Blue has the last word
White clouds sweep over a low line of trees, and the lake answers with a softened version of the same pattern. The isolated tree on the right has a distinct leaning outline that repeats in the reflection below.
Despite the sunset title, this image draws its character from blue rather than a fiery horizon. Warm touches along the shoreline and in the clouds keep it lively. The fine water ripples add texture without breaking the broad sense of calm.
The place behind the image
Busch's many lakes support waterfowl and other birds. MDC's Busch area guide provides the location context; check the official visitor information for current access and conditions.
