Busch Sunrise Behind Trees
Busch Sunrise Behind Trees sets a brilliant sunburst among bare trunks, with golden light spilling across a broad lake reflection.

The shoreline catches fire
The brightest point sits low on the left, where the sun breaks through a line of trees. Above it, cream-colored clouds stretch across a deep teal sky. Below, the lake breaks those large shapes into softer vertical bands.
A solitary tree on the right balances the clustered trunks at the left. It is easy to miss at first, but its dark outline keeps the sun from pulling the whole composition sideways. The strong warm treatment gives this photographic landscape the feeling of an emphatic opening note.
