Deep at Klondike Lake
Deep at Klondike Lake stacks textured blue water, a green bank, and towering clouds into a vivid vertical landscape.
Bill and Linda Tiepelman ·

Depth made from layers
The water fills the lower frame with tightly spaced ripples. At the right, a point of green trees extends toward the lake, while the distant bank remains lower at the left. Clouds then rise above that uneven edge, filling the upper half with bright, rounded forms.
The depth is visual rather than a measurement of the lake. Near ripples, middle-distance foliage, and distant clouds each bring a different scale of detail. Follow those layers upward and the scene seems to open as you go. The source file is named Klondike Lake 399; Deep at Klondike Lake is its established public artwork title.
The place behind the image
The park has natural and paved walking routes. See the county’s park information for background, and the current visitor page when planning an outing.
Picture it on your wall
A portrait print keeps all three layers in proportion. Avoid trimming away the nearest water, which supplies the texture that makes the distance convincing. Explore prints and available merchandise for Deep at Klondike Lake.
