Drama in Autumn Skies
Clouds take the leading role above a colorful Broemmelsiek shoreline, with the lake offering a second stage for the same performance.
Bill and Linda Tiepelman ·

Two skies, one shoreline
Small bright cloud forms spread across the upper frame and reappear as looser shapes in the lake. Between them, the land runs as a narrow, irregular seam. The reflection is not a duplicate: water softens the cloud edges and deepens the blues, giving the lower half its own character.
Look at the trees on the left, then trace the shoreline as it curves away to the right. That movement prevents the strong horizontal arrangement from feeling static. Green, yellow, and orange foliage adds a seasonal accent without competing with the sky’s texture. The archive names this an autumn scene; the dramatic appearance alone does not establish an approaching storm. Its strength is the visual conversation between moving-looking clouds and apparently settled water.
