Golden Autumn at Broemmelsiek Park
A gold shoreline glows between deep turquoise sky and water, turning a vertical slice of Broemmelsiek Park into a bold autumn statement.

A tall window onto autumn
The trees sit well below the top of the picture, leaving a generous expanse of sky. Their warm color repeats in the lake, where the reflection points down toward the foreground. This arrangement stacks cloud, foliage, and water into distinct bands while keeping the eye moving vertically through them.
The palette is emphatic: orange-gold land against cyan and deep blue. Rather than treating those colors as a guide to what a visitor will see on a particular day, enjoy their role in the artwork. The small foreground detail in the water keeps the scene from becoming purely abstract. Compared with the wider Baby Blue Broemmelsiek Skies, this portrait composition feels more enclosed and monumental, like looking through a tall window.
A place to explore
The park’s main entrance is on Highway DD. Visit the official county park page for current visitor information, maps, and conditions.
Picture it on your wall
Choose a portrait print format to preserve the sky-to-reflection balance. Cropping this into a wide strip would remove much of the image’s vertical rhythm. Explore prints and available merchandise for Golden Autumn at Broemmelsiek Park.
