Green Scene at Lake 15
Green Scene at Lake 15 gives a leafy lakeside tree a second life in the water, beneath clouds that nearly fill the sky.
Bill and Linda Tiepelman ·

One green tree, twice
The main tree stands just right of center, with its reflection reaching down into the darker water. The bank curves behind it, linking the brighter grass at right to the low vegetation across the left shore.
Small ripples prevent a perfectly sharp mirror image, which makes the reflection feel alive. The strong blue above and the deep green below are balanced by pale clouds and patches of light along the bank. The archive identifies this as a summer view of Lake 15.
The place behind the image
More than 30 lakes are described in MDC's birding guide. MDC's Busch area guide provides the location context; check the official visitor information for current access and conditions.

Keep the tree and its full reflection in a horizontal print. The surrounding open water gives that doubled shape its clarity. Explore prints and available merchandise for Green Scene at Lake 15.
