Lakeside Reflections
A small moon hangs above a dark treeline while warm light lingers at the horizon, creating a quiet Broemmelsiek scene with two distinct tempos.

Find the moon, then the reflection
The moon is a small bright point high in an open blue sky. Below, bare branches glow along their edges, and the lake repeats their fine silhouettes. The lower water deepens toward purple, leaving the image with a gradual transition from airy brightness to settled darkness.
The composition rewards looking twice. First comes the broad division of sky, trees, and water; then the moon’s reflection becomes a tiny detail to find near the lower center. Its modest size is part of the pleasure. The scene does not need a dramatic foreground subject because the tonal changes already guide the eye. Neither the lunar phase nor a precise capture time is established here, so the feature stays with the visual relationship between moonlight, lingering warmth, and reflected branches.
A place to explore
Broemmelsiek also has an Astronomy Viewing Area. Visit the official county park page for current visitor information, maps, and conditions.
Picture it on your wall
Preserve the tall blue space above the trees and the darker water below. A tight crop around the shoreline would lose the small moon and the image’s patient mood. Explore prints and available merchandise for Lakeside Reflections.
