Vibrant Klondike Autumn
A bright foreground tree reaches across blue sky and water in Vibrant Klondike Autumn, bringing the season within touching distance.

The near tree steals the scene
The trunk rises from the lower left, and its branches stretch toward the upper right. Orange, red, and yellow leaves punctuate those dark lines. Beyond them, a pale shoreline curves around the lake, separating the distant trees from their reflection.
The foreground tree gives this portrait view a strong sense of position. You are looking past something close, not simply across an open lake. Sparse branches leave enough space for the sky to show through, so the image remains airy despite its bold colors. Small roots and rough ground at the base of the trunk add a tactile counterpoint to the smooth water.
The place behind the image
Klondike was once a silica sand quarry. See the county’s park information for background, and the current visitor page when planning an outing.
Picture it on your wall
Preserve the tree’s full reach in a vertical print. Cropping the upper branches too tightly weakens the natural frame they create around the distant shore. Explore prints and available merchandise for Vibrant Klondike Autumn.
