Winter Lake Fantasm
Bare branches glow in warm color above blue-green water, giving this winter-themed Broemmelsiek scene an unexpectedly vivid personality.

Winter does not have to be gray
The shoreline rises diagonally into a group of leafless trees. Orange and red tones pick out their intricate branches, while broad blue bands cross the sky. The lake mirrors the trees, and a textured blue foreground interrupts the otherwise smooth reflection.
The title sets a winter mood, but the artwork resists a muted seasonal palette. Warm trees against cool water create the central tension. Look at how the fine branching shapes differ from the large, simplified cloud bands: one asks you to inspect, the other asks you to step back. The archive does not document the exact surface conditions or processing method, so the blue foreground should be appreciated as a visible texture rather than used to make claims about safe ice or weather.

Picture it on your wall
Its tall format works well where a strong vertical accent is wanted. Keep the blue foreground in view; it gives the warm tree line something to push against. Explore prints and available merchandise for Winter Lake Fantasm.
