Ses journées étaient consacrées à la poursuite des curieux et des arcanes. Les poches d'Aulne étaient remplies de bizarreries : une feuille qui chantait au clair de lune, une pierre qui murmurait les secrets de la terre profonde, une plume qui brillait avec les teintes de l'aube. Chaque nuit, près des braises du feu, il racontait ses découvertes dans un tome relié par la peau d'une étoile déchue, aux pages interminables comme le ciel.
C'est un jour de hasard particulier, sous un soleil qui peignait le monde d'un éclat doré, qu'Alder tomba sur la clairière où se trouvait Eirwyn . Le dragon était comme une tapisserie tissée à partir des fils mêmes de l'âme de la forêt : ses écailles formaient un labyrinthe d'or et d'azur scintillants, ses yeux étaient de profonds bassins reflétant le cosmos.
Leur première rencontre fut une délicate danse d’intentions et d’instincts. Eirwyn, avec son allure royale et son aura de sagesse sereine, regardait le petit gnome devant lui. Ils étaient les braises d’une histoire qui brûlait dans le cœur de ceux qui croyaient en la magie qui habitait à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur.
